I am passionate about innovations in technology aimed at improving access, quality and outcomes for all people, while at the same time lowering the cost of delivering healthcare. With my rigorous academic training, research experience, analytical skills and demonstrated leadership, my goal is to contribute to transforming the promise of science and biotechnology into therapies in order to restore health and help the people of the world be well. I graduated from the Masters Program in Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh) in 2011, and am currently working at Booz Allen Hamilton as a part of the Scientific Computing team in the Strategic Innovation Group.

Worked with a team to develop and draft the response to the U.S. General Services Administration’s IT Schedule 70 solicitation. Developed initial response strategy and production schedule, obtained required registrations and validations from SAM, DUNS, and Open Ratings and researched relevant NAICS codes as they pertain to IT70 fulfillment. Consolidated multiple drafts and revisions and regularly shared updates with proposal team.

IT Security and Controls: Worked with Federal Agency client personnel, including senior decision makers, to determine and document corrective action plans for identified IT security and control weaknesses. Identified relevant Federal and Agency IT security control requirements applicable to weaknesses, including the relevant National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) special publications, and documented plans of action and milestones (POA&M) with input from OCC IT support personnel and contractors.

Client Communications: Supported OCC in developing and presenting reports and briefings related to the status of POA&M completion and weakness remediation efforts. Obtained POA&M status updates from OCC IT support personnel and contractors, updated status tracking databases in SharePoint and Trusted Agent FISMA (TAF), and developed and presented dashboard presentations to senior stakeholders.
